Faculty Resources:  Health Care Reform

Medical Benefits

You may be able to participate in the District's Adjunct Medical Benefits Program (AMBP). In this program, you share the cost of the program with the District, according to State requirements.  (See California Education Code §87860 – §87868).  Click here to download a pdf version of Human Resource's most current cover letter, affidavit, enrollment request, eligibility requirements, and more.

March and September are Eligibility Periods: You must enroll for first-time coverage or re-enroll to continue your existing coverage during the eligibility periods. If you are enrolling FOR THE FIRST TIME and are newly eligible, then you can join either group plan -- SISC/Blue Shield or Kaiser -- during the March or the September eligibility periods, with coverage effective April 1 and October 1, respectively.

August is Open Enrollment: If you would like to switch your existing plan, contact Human Resources during the month of August.

The requirements and services of this program change frequently, so if you currently participate, you should review the program and contact Human Resources if you have questions.
